Elemi is a tropical tree that grows in the Philippines and grows up to 30 metres in height. An all round good oil, physically, it benefits the respiratory tract and any skin conditions, and emotionally it lifts the spirit and brings about a sense of inner peace.
It was used along with frankincense and myrrh by the Egyptians in the embalming process. Elemi is an excellent oil to use in a cream or lotion on mature or dry skin and is antiseptic.
